Sony has launched the new BDP-S470 stand-alone Blu-ray 3D-ready player. The Sony BDP-S470 will be able to show 3D video in Full HD 1080p, when a firmware update is released in the summer, of course you will need a 3D capable HDTV to view it in 3D. “Consumer excitement for 3D is unbelievably high and Sony is poised to deliver the best possible in-home experience,” said Sony home division VP Chris Fawcett, in a statement.
