Review: BlackBerry 9670 Flip Smartphone

Sprint and RIM has announced to release a new Blackberry Smartphone, The BlackBerry 9670. The 9670 BlackBerry is different from the other Blacberry products, it’s come with a clamshell design, full QWERTY keyboard and BlackBerry 6 OS.

BlackBerry 9670 is boasts BlackBerry OS 6, 512 MB RAM, memory slot (microSDHC) up to 32GB, 5 megapixel camera with flash capable of video recording,  3.5 mm stereo handset jack, CDMA connectivity, and 2.7-inch QVGA display (360 x 400 pixels) internal display and 2-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) external display. It’s Dimensions 175.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm with Weight 131 g.

The BlackBerry 9670 flip smartphone features GPS for location-based apps and geo-tagging, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi Wi-Fi for faster connectivity and extended data coverage, Bluetooth v2.1, a music player that provides support to formats like MP3, AAC-LC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA, 800/1900 MHz CDMA/EVDO Rev A networks, and a 1150 mAhr lithium cell Battery for 4.5 hours Talk Time and  10.5 days for Standby Life.

BlackBerry 9670 is the dual-screen flip phone design with dimensions 175.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm with Weight 131 g. The 9670 flip phone also has features exclusive BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), an optical trackpad for fluid navigation and boasts two large displays, and a new and rich WebKit-based browser that renders HTML Web pages (as well as HTML email) quickly and beautifully for a great browsing experience.

The BlackBerry Style 9670 is about to be launched in the United States on October 31st and available in two colors, Steel Grey and Royal Purple. The phone is priced in the US markets at $99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a signed 2 year contract.
