BlackBerry Curve 9220 Detailed Specifications Leaked

Two month ago, Research In Motion has announced BlackBerry Curve 9220 on RIM’s roadmap and now detail specifications of the device has leaked. Like other latest Blackberry smartphone, the Curve 9220 comes with bar design with QWERTY keyboard plus Touch-sensitive optical trackpad.

BB Curve 9220 is a entry level smartphone. Under the hood it’s built in with 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM with support microSD card for expandable storage capacity up to 32GB and will be running on BlackBerry 7.1 operating system. It’s sports an 2.44 inch TFT display with 164ppi and support maximum resolutions display at 320 x 240 pixel. Like Blackberry Torch 9810, the 9220 also only have rear facing camera on the back without front facing camera for video chats. The 2 megapixel camera (1600×1200 pixels) with support video recording and has three sensors, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Digital Compass.

In term of interface and ports, you’ll find 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for wireless internet connections and working on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Other features are Stereo FM radio with RDS, Document viewer, Supports MP3, eAAC+, WAV, FLAC music player, Supports MP4, H.263, H.264, WMV video player, Organizer, Predictive Text Input, Voice Input, latest Blackberry messenger and full access in Blackberry Applcations World to costumized your smartphone with thousand of free or paid applications, widget, games, music and much more.

In term of size, the handset measuring 60 x 109 x 12.7 mm, make it comfortable to hold with one hand. Now a simulator for the upcoming BlackBerry 9220 by RIM has been release a few months ahead of the handset’s release, which means the BlackBerry Curve 9220 should be officially announced pretty soon.
