RIM has introduce the world’s first smartphone with a BlackBerry keyboard and full touch screen called the BlackBerry Torch 9800. There is some amazing features in Blackberry Torch including awesome keyboard and killer email while featuring a plethora of new features including a proper touchscreen, upgraded camera and the highly anticipated BlackBerry 6 OS.

The Blackberry 9800 features a 3.2-inch half-VGA (480×360 at 188 pixels per inch) capacitive touch screen, 512MB RAM, a 4GB memory card onboard, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, autofocus camera with flash, 512 MB flash memory, GPS/BlackBerry Maps and geo-tagging.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone is the first phone from RIM Blackberry to feature the new BlackBerry 6 OS, which promises a more visual and intuitive smartphone experience, a Universal Search is powerful Webkit Browser for a fast and more improved performance, BlackBerry Messenger which gives a real-time conversation experience and long lasting battery to keep you going, 5-megapixel camera with a flash, auto focus and face detection software.

Pictures can also be geotagged thanks to the built-in GPS. The sliding form factor of the Blackberry Torch demanded RIM to design their thinnest keyboard to date. The great news for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 owner is that in addition to the physical keyboard kicking ass, the touchscreen software keyboards are actually pretty easy to type on too. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone might not be the iPhone-killer we’ve been waiting for RIM to make but it’s definitely a great smartphone that should appeal to current RIM customers. BlackBerry Torch will be available starting August 12 for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
