We already knew that AT&T was going to be the premiere partner for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 launch later this year, but this is almost getting ridiculous. Today we have one more HTC Windows Phone 7 handset for you, HTC T8788 and HTC seems to be as determined to make great WP7 phones as it is to make Android machines.
Engadget has revealed another AT&T-bound handset, the HTC T8788 Windows Phone 7 , which we have noticed for a while on user agent logs around the internet. The large-screened attractive device reveals, rather bizarrely, a large speaker, and is supported further in its media ambitions by a kick-stand.
The HTC T8788 smartphone has the sleek styling design that we have come to expect from HTC handsets and features three capacitive front buttons to meet Microsoft’s hardware reference design.
The device is a slider and you might be surprised to find out it’s not a full QWERTY keyboard showing up after you slide it to the side, but a speaker which leads us into thinking of the T8788 phone as a multimedia device.
However, you won’t find a keyboard under there. No, not this time. Instead, there’s a speaker. And, around the back? There’s a kickstand. Which pretty much means this will (probably) be HTC’s media device featuring Windows Phone 7.
The HTC T8788 Windows Phone 7 is going to head to AT&T in the USA according to the current rumors and it might hit European markets too. There is no word on a release date quite yet, but in truth, we’re not too worried about that right now.
