HTC has officially announced the next generation of HTC Wildfire, namely HTC Wildfire S smartphone. The Wildfire S is comes with better quality display but has same screen size with a 3.2-inch touch screen with 320 x 480 resolution and will be release in variety of colors including black, purple and white at Q2 2011 with expected price at £25 a month on a two year contract.
The Wildfire S smartphone is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU, 512MB of RAM, 512MB ROM, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and auto focus, up to 32GB microSD card, micro-USB 2.0, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, Stereo FM radio with RDS, Accelerometer sensor, Touch-sensitive controls, Optical trackpad, Digital compass, integration with social networking site, and runs Android O2.1 Eclair with upgradable to Android 2.2 Froyo.
HTC Wildfire S Android smartphone is boasts Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, and works on GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA 900/2100 MHz network. The device also support MP3/AAC+/WAV/WMA9 player, MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV9 player and Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery that offer up to 360 hours for standby time and up to 430 mins for talk time. Dimensions of the Wildfire S are 3.99 x 2.34 x 0.49 inch with weight 105 grams (3.7 ounces) with battery.
