According to Engadget, LG has decide to renamed its popular LG Optimus LTE smartphone to LG Optimus True HD LTE. Basically, the device has already launched in US market as LG Spectrum 4G and LG Nitro HD and in the Japan and South Lorea market as LG Optimus LTE. However, no word on pricing or release date for Optimus True HD LTE but we believed if the device has same features and specifications with the old name.
As it’s new name, the 4.65 inch screen on the smartphone uses True HD IPS display that utilizes an RGB stripe structure, offer 329 PPI (pixels per inch), 500 Nits and support high resolutions display at 1280 x 720 resolution. The display offer HD 720p video playback, great sharpness, image clarity and increases visual experience for web browsing, streaming video or playing games than common smartphone on the market. You can also connect the smartphone or stream media wirelessly to your HDTV, thanks to HDMI port and SmartShare.
LG Optimus True HD LTE smartphone powered by Qualcomm MDM9200/APQ8060 dual core processor which has clocking speed at 1.5GHZ, paired with 1GB RAM and running on Android™ 2.3 (Gingerbread) as the operating system offer ultra fast performance and deliver more than enough power to ensure smoother, more responsive and efficiently operation. For storage, it’s packed with 10GB (Internal 2GB, Micro SD 8GB) internal storage with support Micro SD card slot for expandable storage capacity up to 32GB, so you can store more video files, musi files or applications.
In term of size, the Optimus True HD LTE measures 133.9 x 67.9 x 10.48 with weighs at 135 g and ships with a 1830 mAh Lithium Ion battery which offers up to 180 minutes of talk time or up to 252 hours of Standby Time. It’s thicker than Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 which has same display size but only measures in 135.5 x 67.94 x 8.94 mm. On the front, the 1.3MP Fixed Focus front facing camera allows users to make video calling with friends or family, while on the back you’ll find 8MP Auto Focus camera with LED Flash offer good quality for capture photos and support record full 1080p video.
The rest of features are Android Webkit Browser, USB 2.0 port, bluetooth 3.0, Gps with A-gps support, support fast 4G LTE network and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n for fast internet connections with support Wi-Fi Direct™, so you can lsend and share files to other gadgets without wires or a router. Like other Android smartphone, new LG Optimus True HD LTE smartphone also has full suite of Google Mobile Applications, such as GMail, GTalk, picassa, YouTube and acces in Google Play.
