Motorola Droid Pro Verizon Wireless Review, Specs, Price and Release Date

Motorola and Verizon just announced the availability of the first Android-based smartphone optimized for business use, Motorola Droid Pro. Droid Pro Smartphone will have a design reminiscent of Blackberry line of business-oriented devices but with the greater power and flexibility of the Android OS.

The Droid Pro smartphone is powered by TI OMAP3620 1GHZ processor, 512 MB RAM / 2048 MB ROM, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash and auto focus, a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, microSD card slot (2GB card included), Accelerometer, Compass, and runs on Android 2.2.

The Motorola Droid Pro not only work on Verizon’s network, but also support for global roaming. The device support CDMA EV-DO, UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE network. For connectivity, Droid Pro Android Smartphone support WiFi 802.11b/g/n, microUSB, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3G Mobile Hotspot option, and DLNA.

The device also comes with Microsoft Exchange compatibility, the ability to view and edit Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents, and unified calendars. It’s support Adobe Flash Player 10.1, MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, AMR, MIDI for music player, MPEG4, H.263, H.264 for Video player, GPS, A-GPS, and 1,420 mAh battery that provide 424 min talk time and 17 days for stand by time.

The Motorola DROID PRO will be available on Verizon Wireless network from the 9th of November 2010 and shipping of the handset will start on November 10-11 for price $179.99 with a two year contract.
