Motorola XT615 Android Smartphone Review, Specification and Features

After appeared on a pair of Chinese sites last month ago, now the upcoming Motorola XT615 Android smartphone has officially announced. Based on 800 Megahertz Qualcomm MSM7227A-0 processor chip paired with 512 megabyte of RAM, the XT615 is low end device with sleek and slim profile. It’s also comes with edge-to-edge style like iPhone design with two colors option, licorice (dark gray) and also ultra-white.

Motorola XT615 will be equipped with an 4 inch FWVGA touch screen display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, 1GB of ROM with support MicroSD card for expandable storage up to 32GB and running on Android Gingerbread 2.3 as the operating system combined with Moto Switch UI 2.0. Here is VGA camera on the front device for video chating or self potrait plus an eight-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash that allow users to record video and 1390mAh battery pack that delivering up to 300 minutes of talk time or up to 110 hrs for standby mode.

In term of size, the upcoming Motorola smartphone has dimension in 117.7 x 60.5 x 9.85 mm with weight at 123.6g, so it’s easy to put in your pocket. The company also promise if the Moto XT615 will be equipped with full range of connectivity, includes 3.5mm audio earphone, USB 2.0 HS, Bluetooth 3.0 EDR with A2DP, 802.11 b/g/n Wireless to connct internet in Hot Spot Area and Wi-Fi Direct for connect with other device without the need for wireless access points.

Motorola XT615 will be support multi multimedia files (MPEG4, rmvb, Divx, H.263, H.264; AMR, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MIDI, MP3, WAV) and work on WCDMA 900/2100 with GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and support 3G which offer 7.2 Mbps for download speeds and 5.76 Mbps for upload speeds. Unfortunately, the company did not mentioned about USA or Europe release date but if you live in Taiwan, the XT615 smartphone will be launch in the middle of December for cost at NTD$10,900.
