T-Mobile and Nokia has launched the in the United States, Nokia E73 Mode. The Nokia E73 Mode Phone is a portrait QWERTY device that features Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, and two different customizable homescreens-one for work and the other for life resembling the Nokia E72.
The Nokia E73 phone is the first genuinely new Eseries device made just for a US carrier and gives T-Mobile customers Wi-Fi calling; Hotspot Calling customers can get better reception and free minutes when at home or on T-Mobile’s public access points. The E73 Mode is similar in many ways to the E72 and has a 5-megapixel camera with a flash, GPS, 4GB microSD, and a WiFi enabled QWERTY phone, running on T-Mobile’s blazing fast 3G network, keeping on top of emails and business is a breeze. The camera resolution is an impressive 2592 x 1944 pixel. This camera is used to shoot photos as well as videos. There is another secondary camera attached in front of the mobile. Plus Nokia’s unique Switch mode feature, allows you to switch between fully customisable homescreens, meaning you’ll be able to keep up with you mates’ myriad of status updates too.
Nokia E73 Mode smartphone also has high-end stuff like VPN support and UMA (voice calling over Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, and USB 2.0 High-Speed and also hardware accelerated encryption and remote wipe functionality. With Mail for Exchange, based on Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, consumers can receive their corporate e-mail, contacts and calendar pushed directly to their device. Ovi Maps with free voice-guided navigation and Lonely Planet guides are included as well.
The Nokia E73 Mode phone also includes support for services such as IBM Lotus Traveler, support for and access to Salesforce.com, Bloomberg and more to help business customers bring their office with them while on the go. The Nokia E73 also comes pre-loaded with many business productivity tools allowing employees to take their office with them wherever they may be. With applications such as Ovi Files, QuickOffice, Adobe PDF Manager and ZIP Manager, files can be easily accessed, sent, viewed and edited right from the device, allowing customers to be more productive from nearly anywhere.
