Samsung has officially introduced their new powerfull Android smartphone in Galaxy series, dubbed as Samsung Galaxy R. The Galaxy R is slim and light device and measures in 125.7 x 66.7 x 9.55 mm with weight around at 131 grams, Samsung Galaxy R smartphone will only be a hair thicker than previous versions, the Galaxy S II.

Samsung Galaxy R slim and light smartphone will be powered by the world’s first mobile processor with a dual-core CPU, a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core 1.0 Ghz processor paired with a GeForce GPU and 1GB of RAM, a 4.19 inch Super Clear LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and Adobe Flash Player support give the new Samsung thin and light Android smartphone fast Web browsing capabilities, console-quality gaming performance and you can enjoy 1080p Full HD playback (Divx, WMV, MP4, H.264 B/P only).

“Samsung’s newest super phone shows off Tegra’s multimedia power, and is a great example of what consumers expect from one of the world’s top phone makers,” said Michael Rayfield, general manager of NVIDIA’s mobile business. Samsung Galaxy R Android smartphone also pre loaded with Samsung Touch Wiz UX, social Network integrations, Google Mobile service ((Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration) and access to download more than 250.000 usefull apps via Android Market.

Other features of the Galaxy R includes a 8GB internal storage with support for expandable memory up to 32GB by microSD slot, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash and capable of recording at 720p, a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chats, microUSB 2.0 slot and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread for operating system. Samsung Galaxy R smartphone is available now in Sweden market and will be relased to in North & Eastern Europe, South East & West Asia, Middle East Asia soon.
