Sony Ericsson has announce a new Xperia series which combines stunning design on Android 2.3 ( will be upgradeable to Android 3.0 Honeycomb ) namely the SE Xperia Arc. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is a slim, lightweight smartphone designed with premium materials and and stunning arc body design. The Xperia Arc is just 8.7mm which makes the center of the handset slightly thinner than the iPhone 4 and combines state-of-the-art Sony technology with breathtaking design to entertain smartphone experience on top of smartphone fundamentals such as apps, maps, email and fast Internet.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Android smartphone is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of built-in memory, 8 GB microSD that support up to 32 GB, an 8.1 megapixel Exmor R mobile CMOS sensor with allows 720p HD video recording, and 4.2-inch Reality Display capacitive TFT display provide 854×480 pixels resolution and supports face detection, auto focus, image stabilizer, geo tagging, and noise suppression. The Reality Display featuring Sony’s BRAVIA Mobile Engine and covered with a scratch-resistant glass which does real-time noise reduction, sharpness, color management and contrast enhancement on the picture.
Xperia Arc is equipped with USB 2.0, aGPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, supports DLNA, HDMI port, Bluetooth EDR 2.1, WiFi, Accelerometer, Compass and 1500mAh battery that offers 437 min talk time and 426 hours for standby time. SE Xperia Arc has measures 125 x 63 x 8.7 mm with weight 117 grams. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc smartphone comes in two color schemes – Midnight Blue and Misty Silver and will be available in select markets, including Japan, from Q1 2011.
