Review: Sony Xperia J Android ICS Smartphone

Sony Xperia J specsLast week, we have reported the Xperia J smartphone which has announced at IFA, 2012 and now the Clove UK Retails has confirmed if the Android smartphone available for order with price tag at £190.80 with two years warranty. Sony Xperia J release with four color options, black, white, gold and pink and running on Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) as the operating system  (upgradable to Android Jelly Bean in the future) with Xperia UI. It’s new mid range smartphone from Japanese company and comes with fabulous design, specifications and multimedia features. Inside, the Cortex-A5 processor with Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon chipset with speed of 1GHZ will be paired with 512 MB RAM, Adreno 200 GPU and integrated 4GB of internal storage (microSD card slot for expansions additional memory woth support up to 32GB). The company also say if you purchase Sony Xperia J before the end of this year, you’ll also get free extra 50GB of Cloud storage supplied by Box.

The 4 inch scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen (480 x 854 pixels) display protected by Gorilla glass with Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology delivers clear, crisp, sharp and vivid colors for text, images and videos. For detailed viewing experience, the DLNA technology allows users to connect and enjoy full high definition multimedia content on your HDTV, as well as high quality audio on external speakers. On the back, you’ll find XPERIA logo on the centre and 5 megapixels auto focus rear camera with Geo-tagging, image stabilization, smile detection, self-timer and 4 x digital zoom, while on the front it only has VGA camera for face to face video chats.

Like other XPERIA series, the J models also offers stunning audio experience. It built in stereo loudspeakers that optimized by Sony’s xLoud technology audio filter technology delivers clear, crisp and louds audio reproductions. Other specs are  micro USB 2.0 port, microSD card slot, Stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS with A-GPS support, bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP plus EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi hotspot funcitionality.

Weighing on 124 grams with Lithium Ion 1750 mAh battery, dimensions of the device are 124 x 61 x 9.2mm make it can fit perfectly in your jacket pockets and comfortable to hold in your hand. Other features are proximity, accelerometer, compass, Timescape, TrackID, Walkman player app, social networks applications and full access in Google Mobile Service, such as GMail, Google Maps, Google Voice, Google Search and Play Market to download more applications, widget, games, videos, books and more.
