After announced the availability and pricing of Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE, Telus Canada is prepare to release another Samsung Galaxy inexpensive smartphones series, the Galaxy Discover. Like the Rugby smartphone, Telus Samsung Galaxy Discover smartphone also pre-loaded with Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the operating system (upgradable to Android Jelly Bean), but this model bring smaller screen size with 3.5 inch, instead of 4.0 inch display on the Rugby LTE model.
Samsung Galaxy Discover is an inexpensive android smartphone that designed for entry level users. Comes with a 3.5 inch touch screen HVGA display with support a resolution display at 320 x 480 pixel, the device also brings a 3.0 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash for capture photos and video recording support. Sadly, its lack front facing camera for video communication.
Inside, this device only boasts a single core processor that clocked at 800MHz with a 4GB on board memory and micro SD card slot for expanded memory space with additional 32GB. Weighing only at 122 gram with measures 61.5 x 112.8 x 11.5 mm, Telus Galaxy Discover has thicker and heavier design than ZTE Concord which has dimension in 117 x 62 x 11 mm with weighs only at 100g. The device also bundled with a 1300mAh Lithium Ion Battery that promises will gives up to 440 hours of standby time or up to 7 hours of talk time.
