Verizon Wireless has just announced will be reduced the price of the Motorola DROID 2 Star Wars special edition, Motorola Droid R2-D2 Android smartphone. Now, nearly 3 months after the initial release of the Motorola Droid R2-D2 Star Wars edition smartphone, you can now pick up the Verizon Motorola Droid 2 R2-D2 for $200 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a signed 2 year contract.

Motorola Droid R2-D2 Android smartphone is powered by TI OMAP 1GHz processor with Dedicated GPU, 3.7 inch Touch Screen with 480×854 pixel wvga display, 5.0 megapixel camera with Auto–focus, Face detection and Panoramic modes, 8GB Internal memory, pre–installed 8GB microSDcard up to 32GB, Physical slide out QWERTY Keyboard, and runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS with Motorola Application Platform.
