On the press release, Jeroen Brants, Product Manager Europe at MMD said, “We’re very excited about the new 27-inch Gioco. This is the first Philips LCD display to feature Ambiglow. This technology creates a completely engaging and immersive 3D experience, and really brings 3D games and movies to life.” Yeah, powered by Ambiglow technology and uses the latest IPS technology, AH-IPS for screen panel, new Philips Gioco 278G4 3D offers 250 cd/m² brightness, 20,000,000:1 SmartContrast ratio and capable to playing 1080p HD video playback with support a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The 27 inch display also uses W-LED backlight technology that makes it only uses 28 watts power, lower than commonly gaming monitor from other brand. Like the Brilliance 241P4LRY monitor, it also offer 178 degrees viewing angles and the Tilt, swivel and height on this monitor also can adjustment. Of ocurse, the Gioco 278G4 also equipped with a VGA  port, 4x USB 3.0 port, HDMI audio out and 3x HDMI port that allows user to connect the tablet, laptop, Game Consule or other multimedia player into this device.
