Asus Eee Note EA800 review, specs, release date

Asus has officially announced ASUS’ Eee Tablet e-reader namely the Eee Note EA800. Asus Eee Note EA800 runs on Linux operating system and has features a high quality digitizer with the included stylus and pressure-sensitive touchscreen and has a grayscale screen that makes it look like a tablet and eBook reader.

Asus Eee Note is powered by a Marvell processor, 8-inch resistive touchscreen (stylus-based) with a 1024 x 768 resolution under a bright grayscale monochrome display, built-in 4GB ROM, microSD memory card can expand to 16GB, 2 mega pixel camera, a 3700mAh battery to provide a run-time of 10 hours per charge with wifi on, 13 hours with wifi off and 10 days of standby time.

Eee Note EA800 also packs with WiFi 802.11b/g, 3.5mm Earphone Jack, a microSD card slot, microUSB, microphone, speaker, Wacom touch and measures in at 139 x 222.4 x 11 mm with weight of 520 grams.  Asus Eee Note also support a wide-range of formats, these include PDF, ePub, MP3, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, txt, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt and pptx, and can store more than 10,000 e-books or 20,000 pages of the handwritten notes.

No pricing details and release date are available yet, but Eee Note EA800 maybe will hit Q1 2011, after the CES 2011 possibly earlier in Europe.
