Acer just release a new TravelMate series notebook that called the TravelMate 5542. The Acer TravelMate 5542 laptop is based on AMD platform and designed for business and institutional users. Acer company claims the TravelMate 5542 combines the latest mobile technologies, smart and comprehensive security features to delivering a fast and responsive computing experience, even when multitasking.
The TravelMate 5542 business laptops is boasts a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 250GB or 320GB hard drive, a multi-gesture touchpad, 1.3 megapixel Crystal Eye webcam, and a choice of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) processors. Users can choose between a 2.4GHz AMD Turion II Dual-Core mobile processor, with 2MB of L2 cache and a 2.2GHz Athlon II processor with 1MB of L2 cache.
The Acer TravelMate 5542 also packs with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI port, VGA ports, DVD writer, 4-in-1 card reader, and 6-cell Li-Ion battery which provides up to 3 hours of life. The machine weighs just under 6 pounds with measures an inch thick and pre-loaded with the 32-bit Windows 7 Professional Operating System.
