Review: Asus Eee PC X101 and Eee PC X101H Netbook

At Computex two last month ago, AsusTex has announced a new ultra thin Asus Eee PC X101 netbook and now Asus announced if the machine is ready to make it’s retail in July, 2011. The company also confirmed if the device will be available with two optional operating system, includes Windows 7 OS (Asus Eee PC X101H) with starting price at $310 and a Linux based OS, MeeGo Operating System (Eee PC X101) will be has retail price at $199.

Eee PC X101 Specifications

Asus Eee PC X101 and Asus Eee PC X101H will be sporting a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a 1.33 GHz Atom N435 single-core processor, Intel GMA 600 graphics, a webcam for video calls, two USB ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and a 2600mAh 28Wh battery.

Eee PC X101 Features

It’s look Asus prepare the Eee PC X101 laptop to compete with MacBook Air 11 inch. Comes with ultra slim design with 17.6mm thick and weight only 950 grams, the machine is packs with a chiclet keyboard, a small touchpad with a single button beneath it, Kensington key lock and available in three colors options, red, gold and white. Unfortunately, Asus Eee PC X101 netbook only has 8GB or 16GB SSD for internal storage. Don’t worry about that. If you want to add your favorite music or movies, you can extend storage capacity with a microSD card. If you want to slim and thin machine with affordable price, might be Asus Eee PC X101 and Asus Eee PC X101H is perfect for you.
