Few days again, Microsoft will be officially released their latest Microsoft Windows OS, Windows 8 and now Asus also prepare to release their most interesting Windows 8 ultrabook that featuring dual Full High Definition (FHD) display, the Asus Taichi 21. Yeah, the Taichi 21 ultrabook comes with a 11.6 inch FHD display on the rear and a second FHD display on the front that can work simultaneously and also supports 10-finger touch, so you can used the machine likes a conventional tablet when you close the lid.
Both of 11.6 inch screen uses IPS technology with LED-backlit to conserve energy and support a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels on each display. Integrated with a Intel HD Graphics 4000 as graphics accelerator, both of screen provides more viewing angle, brightness and vivid color for images, video or games. In case you need to share or enjoy the content into bigger screen, the innovative laptop-tablet also equipped with a VGA port and HDMI port, so you connect the content into HDTV. Asus Taichi 21-HD51 model will be powered by a 1.7GHZ Intel Core i5-3317U “Ivy Bridge” processor that paired with 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, while the second model, Asus Taichi 21-DH71 ultrabook comes with a 1.9 GHZ Intel Core i7-3517U processor features 4MB L3 Cache and support Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology to increase processor frequency up to 3.0 GHz.
Like the highest configuration of Lenovo ThinkPad X131e, the 11.6 inch Asus ultrabook also integrated with a 128GB SSD (Solid State Drive) of internal storage, which mean this model deliver faster and more responsive system than other device that equipped with a hard drive disk. Furthermore, the latest Asus ultrabook also equipped with dual stereo speakers with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology, Illuminated Chiclet Keyboard, audio and microphone jack, USB 3.0 port, RJ port and Screen A lock Bottom, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, Ethernet LAN and 802.11a/g/n Wireless LAN as connectivity features.
Price and Release Date
Like Sony Vaio T14 or other Windows 8 device, both of Asus Taichi 21 will be release on October 26th, 2012.If you really interested, Newegg and Amazon has started to taking pre-order for the machine for price of 1599 for Asus Taichi 21-DH71, while Asus Taichi 21-HD51 ultrabook has lower price at $1299.
