Looking for new tablet with dual screen and operate on new Windows 8 OS? Here, a good news for you. Few weeks ago at IFA 2012, Asus, the Taiwanese Electronic company has announced the Taichi, a new convertible ultrabook/tablet that combines portability like a conventional tablet with ultimate power like the ultrabook. Unlike other convertible notebook, Asus Taichi has two screens on both the front and the rear that can used simultaneously.
Yes, both of screen can work together at the same time. You can playing games on the rear screen, while your friends watching videos on the front screen The front screen also support stylus for easy use like the Galaxy Note 10.1, while on the rear camera you can use a black full sized backlit Qwerty keyboard with TrackPad which offer more accurate, fast and comfortable to type. To change the screen funcions, you’ll find a switch-screen hot key that located on the Qwerty keyboard for swiching to notebook mode that use rear camera, the back touchscreen display in tablet mode, mirror mode and dual screen mode to use both of screen side-by-side simultaneously.
However, full specifications of the Asus’ upcoming Windows 8 convertible tablet are not revealed, but according the little specs that has been leaked, the device will be powered by thirdgenerations of Intel i7 “Ivy Bridge” processor that paired with 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, Solid State Drive (SSD) storage and pre-loaded with the latest Microsoft Windows8 as the operating system provides plenty of power and performance to running multitask on the dual screen.
Reportedly, the Taichi will be release in two models, the 11.6 inch versions with Full High Definition IPS Led Backlit display and the 13.3 inch model that also offer Full High definition IPS Led Backlit display. Both of them capable to playing 1080p videp playback and support a native resolutions at 1920 x 1080 pixel, as well as front facing camera on each of screen for video communications and built in stereo speakers that backed by B&O ICEpower and ASUS SonicMaster for stunning audio experience.
Other specifications are a power button, lock toggle, e-compass, gyroscopic sensors, double USB 3.0 port for fast trasfer data, audio jack, microphone jack and dual-band 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi for a reliable wireless connectivity. Like other Windows 8 tablet, it lacks Ethernet LAN, so you can only use the WiFi for internet connections. Weighing at 1.5kg, the latest convertible laptop has same weighs as an Asus Zenbook Prime series. For 11.6 inch screen, Asus Taichi convertible laptop will be hit the market with price tag around at $1,299, but now word on the 13.3 inch model price.
