Dell Latitude 6430u specsDell has officially announced their first ultra portable laptop that aimed for business users, the Latitude 6430u. Like the Latitude 10, Dell Latitude 6430u ultrabook also comes with impressive specifications and running on latest generation of Microsoft Windows 8 as the operating system offers great combine for more efficient multi-tasking. Of course, as the business machine, the 6430u portable laptop also offers full array of security features, as well as solid and robust design that make it ideal for indor and outdoor used.

Dell Latitude 6430u is perfect machine for business and professional users to work hard in every business environment. Comes with rugged design that designed to meet Military MIL-STD-810G  testing, the ultrabook has magnesium alloy chassis with with a simple silver Lenovo logo and weighs at 1.7kg with 20mm thick. Yes, it heavier than the IdeaPad U410 ultrabook which has weighs only at 1.36 kg, but it still comfortable and easy to carry around with or slip into carry bag. The chiclet spill resistant keyboard with spacious key and touchpad with two pointing devices also comfortable to used like other competitors.

Speaking of hardware, the 6430u also comes with latest generations of Intel Ivy Bridge platform. Running on Microsoft Windows 8 as the operating system, this model will be launched with a Intel Core i3, Core i5 or up to Intel Core i7-3667U “Ivy Bridge” processor as the heart of the machine. It also incorporated with 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM and 256GB solid state drive (SSD) whcih gives more responsive and fast load system than conventional Hard Disk Drive, as well as Intel Smart and Rapid Start technologies for increase speed and performance.

The integrated Intel HD graphics 4000 as graphcis accelerator with a 14 inch matte-effect High Definition LCD Display that protected by LCD seal capable to produce maximum internal resolutions display at 1366 by 768 pixel. For detailed viewing experience, users also can connet it onto external monitor or HDTV via VGA port and HDMO port. Moreover, the latest Dell Business ultrabook also equipped with front camera with internal microphone for video calls, USB 3.0 port, audio jack, headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN for wireless connections and 3G mobile broadband options, as well as long battery life.

Of course, it also preloaded with few security and manageability features, such as Intel vPro technology, Dell ProSupport, Dell ImageDirect, fingerprint reader, optional smart cards and more Microsoft productivity applications. Unfortunately, it lacks touchscreen support and optical loading drive. According the press release, Dell Latitude 6430u business ultrabook will be hit the market in the end of next month at the same time when Microsoft lauched Windows 8 , but no word on pricing at this moment.
