New Getac B300 Rugged Laptop Review, Features and Specifications

Getac just announced their up coming a 13.3 inch hard-as-nails road warrior laptop, known as Getac B300. Actualy, the machines has been release in last year, but now Getac redesign the new Getac B300 rugged laptop with more powerfull capabilities, long life battery and better connections with support 3G: Gobi 2000/EV-DO/GSM/GPRS/EDGE/ and 4G mobile broadband technology option (UMTS/WCDMA/HSDPA).

New Getac B300 2011 notebook is designed with a magnesium alloy for cassing, shock-mounted hard drive, Waterproof backlit mechanical membrane keyboard with optional waterproof backlit rubber and pressure sensitive touchscreen, shock-mounted hard drive and has dimensions in 11.9 x 10.35 x 2.36 inch with weight 3.5 kg. In term of ruggedness, the machines is offers sealed I/O caps and doors to prevent damage from solid particles and moisture, MIL-STD 810G certified for shock protection, and IP65 compliant to protect from water and dust and MIL-STD-810F – 509.4 for protection from Salt Fog.

Unlike the previous version, new Getac B300 is offer up to 25% faster system speed by powered by up to up to 3.2GHz Intel Core i7 – 2649M with Turbo Boost Technology, 2GB RAM with support expandable up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, an Intel HD 300 graphics, SATA 250GB / 320GB HDD / 500GB HDD for storage, Docking connector, Super multi DVD and up to 26 Hours of Battery Life with Dual Battery System. If you need more storage, you can enhance with additional SATA 80GB/120GB/160GB Solid State Drive.

In term of display, the Getac B300 2011 versions comes with 13.3 inch LCD touchscreen display screen with two options, optional 700 NITs display or 1400 NITs display and special features like Getac’s exclusive QuadraClear display and Optional Night Vision for easy viewing in extreme lighting conditions such as direct sunlight, sand, snow or night. In term of connectivity and port, the device is packs with three USB 3.0 ports, two eSATA connectors, two USB 2.0 port, External GPS antenna port, D-Sub, External VGA port, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Preloaded with Windows 7 for operating system, new Getac B300 2011 version also ships with some security features such as Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, an optional smart-card reader, Getac Utility, Cable lock slot and Safeguards important data with a fingerprint scanner. Other selling point of the Getac B300 is capable to uses in extreme conditions, -20°F to 140°F / -29°C to 60°C, Humidity: 5% to 95% RH, non-condensing and Storage temp: -60°F to 160°F (-51°C to 71°C).
