Review: HP EliteBook 8560P and HP EliteBook 8460P

HP has revealed their two new business-rugged laptops in EliteBook series, namely HP EliteBook 8560P and HP EliteBook 8460P. Both of them is designed with a new smudge-resistant and wear-resistant tungsten-colored tone finish design and meet the MIL-STD 810G military-standard for drop, vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high temperature.

The EliteBook 8560P and EliteBook 8460P has similar specifications, the main difference is HP 8460P is offer a 14 inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel (upgradeable to full HD 1080p resolution) and measuring in 33.8 x 23.13 x 3.18 cm with weight 4.56 lb (2.07 kg), while HP 8560P is offer a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel (upgradeable to full HD 1080p resolution) and measuring in 37.4 x 25.05 x 3.41 cm with weight starting at 6.01 lb (2.73 kg).

Both of the new EliteBook p series is equipped with Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor with TurboBoost technology, AMD Radeon HD 6740 GPU with 1GB VRAM, up to 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM, Mobile Intel QM67 Express chipset, Intel HD Graphics 3000, 128GB/160GB SSD or up to 750GB HDD with self-encrypting drive options, 2 MP webcam, High definition audio, integrated stereo speakers and dual-microphone array, Spill-resistant keyboard with numeric keypad and drain and runs on Genuine Windows 7 operating system.

For connectivity, the machine is offers 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN, two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, Mobile broadband, Smart Card Reader, Express Card/54 slot and powered with 3/6/9 cell battery with HP Ultra Extended Battery provide up to 32 hours of battery life. HP EliteBook 8560P and HP EliteBook 8460P is expected will be available on March 15th with starting price at $1,099 for HP 8560p and start at $999 for HP 8460p.
