Kmart has started selling a lmini-laptop called the Augen GenBook 108 which looks specs like a netbook, but is priced cheaper than a netbook. It is one of the cheapest Android tablets at the moment.
Genbook 108 powered by an 800MHz ARM11 processor, a 10.2-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 256MB of DDR2 RAM, a 10.2 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 2GB of storage (plus an SD card slot), a 2100mAh battery, and runs with Android 2.1.
There are currently over 70,000 apps available for Android, which makes it the second most popular mobile development target. The Kmart Augen GENBOOK108 offers a true web browsing experience, with web pages displayed in full screen and also offers a 93 % full-size keyboard, allowing you to conveniently IM, email and browse all your favorite websites.
Augen GenBook 108 is also WiFi-capable with support for Xvid, DivX, WMV, WMA, MOV, MP3 and MP4, etc and ships with a leather carrying case and USB cable for data transfers. GenBook 108 is indeed more like a toy than a real computer. It measures 1 inches in thickness and weighs 1.8 pounds and now available from KMart for price $189.99
