Unlike the old model, new Toughbook SX2 notebook comes with latest generation of Intel Ivy Bridge platform with support Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology to over clock processor speed, longer battery life and slimmer design than the previous model up to 30 percent. Of course, like other Toughbook model, this machine also comes with rugged design and aimed for professional and business users who need a powerful machine for indoor and outdoor activities.
Comes with rugged design and magnesium-alloy casing, the company claim if the machine can withstands from drop up to 30 inch or 6-foot and up to 220lbs of pressure. Weighing in at 3.13lbs with a Lithium Ion 13600mAh battery and measures 8.5 x 11.6 x 1.0 inch, the 12.1 inch rugged business laptop is little heavier and thicker than Samsung XE550C22-A01US laptop which weighing only at 3.02 pounds and measures 8.5 x 11.5 x 0.83 inches. Like the Let’s Note SX2 Laptop, this model also deliver amazing battery life. On single charge, the company claim if the 13600mAh battery provides over than 13.5 hours battery life.
According the product page, new Toughbook SX2 comes with new Intel Core i5-3320M vPro Processor that clocked at 2.6GHz and features Intel Smart Cache 3MB plus Turbo Boost technology for over clock the processor speed up to 3.3GHz when single core active. Paired with a 4GB DDR3 SDRAM (expandable up to 8GB DDR3 RAM), Intel® QM77 video controller and 320GB 5400rpm hard drive with shock-mounted flex-connect.
The 12.1 inch High Definition Plus LED backlit display with Anti-glare technology can produce maximum internal resolution at 1600 x 900 pixel. Like other machine, this model also has a VGA and HDMI port to connect the content into external digital monitor or playing 1080p HD video playback on your HDTV.
