Samsung has officially announced a new sliding tablet PC at CES 2011, the Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series. Samsung 7 series is combination of Notebook and tablet with features Samsung’s own Touch Launcher for optimized the touchscreen, Samsung’s applications for music, video, photos, note taking, weather, clock, compass, Samsung App Manager, Windows Product Scout and Samsung AllShare for control, search, swap and play videos, photos, and music.

The Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series is powered by a 1.5Ghz Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM, a 10.1-inch touchscreen HD LCD display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, Intel Integrated Graphics, 32GB/64GB solid state drive, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Integrated speaker, digital compass, and running on Windows 7 Home Premium.

For connectivity, Samsung 7 Series is offers 802.11b/g/n WiFi, HDMI port for sharing content on an HDTV, 4-in-1 memory card reader, an USB port, optional WiMAX and 3G module, bring DLNA media sharing and Lithium Polymer battery with Eco Light Sensor for up to 9 hours life. Dimensions of Sliding PC 7 Series are 10.47 x 6.88 x 0.78 inches (W x D x H) with weight at 2.18 lbs.

Samsung Sliding 7 Series designed with light, compact, and incorporates with display elegantly slides up a full, 80/81-key keyboard to giving the user the option of a multi-touch display or full keyboard with built-in accelerometer enables portrait or landscape viewing and mouse interface. The Samsung 7 Series will be available in March with starting price at $699.
