Sony Vaio T14, First Ultrabook with 14 inch and Optical Drive Release for $670

Sony Vaio T14 specsLooking for an ultrabook that have optical drive to playing your favorite DVD movies? If you are, you should wait and consider to take a look at Sony Vaio T14. Unlike ASUS ZENBOOK UX21E, Dell Latitude 6430u or other ultrabook that currently available in the market, the Vaio T14 ultrabook features an optical drive, which mean you can playing DVD movies or load more program through the Blu-ray drive.

Yeah, this is the first Sony Ultrabook which has an optical drive and it’s mean the body will be wider than other ultrabook on its class. Engadget reportedly if this machine has similar design likes its sibling with Aluminum Silver and a 0.5 pound heavier and thicker than its brother. It comes with old keyboard and trackpad design with dual speakers which can you found above the keyboard. No word on battery life, but like other ultrabook model, we expected the T14 will be offer more than 6 hours of battery life on normal usage.

The 14 inch High Definition ultra portable laptop comes with a 1.8GHz Intel “Ivy Bridge” Core i3 processor that paired with 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM, Intel HM77 Express Chipset and preloaded with Microsoft Windows 7 as the operating system. For higher configuration, users also can choose Intel Ivy Bridge i5 processor if they need more performance for daily activities. Like other ultrabook, the latest Vaio T series also comes with dual hard drive,  32GB SSD for system cache and a 500GB Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive with speed of 5400rpm for store your data, programs, games, video and music files.

The display uses LED backlit technology to conserve power and backed by Intel HD graphics 3000 can produce maximum internal resolution at 1366 x 768 pixels. On the top of display, this laptop has a 1.3MP HD web camera with an Exmor® sensor technology (like Sony SVE1411EGXB) and face tracking technology, as well as digital microphone for high quality face to face video communication.

Couple of port and connectivity also integrated, such as a USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 port, audio jack, Bluetooth v4.0 + HS, Ethernet Jack with RJ LAN, Bluetooth, card reader, HDMI port to connect into HDTV and 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN. According to press release, Sony Vaio T14 will hit the market soon with starting price at $670. If you are Sony Vaio fans and the size is not a big concern, Sony SVE1411EGXB laptop with Core i5 2450M processor also ready for purchase for cost of $658.
