Review: Toshiba Mini NB500 Netbook

Toshiba has decided to release a netbooks which Based on Intel’s Pine Trail platform that called Toshiba Mini NB 500. The NB 500 Toshiba netbook look around would appear to be almost has a similar design and specs with Toshiba NB Mini 520, but more wallet-friendly that the Mini NB500 doesn’t have integrated Harman/Kardon speakers.

Toshiba NB 500 netbook is packs with 10.1-inch LED-backlit screen with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel, Intel Atom N455 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB Hard drive, VGA webcam with microphone, SD card reader, and optional up to 4.5 hours with 3-cell battery or up to eight hours with 6-cell battery.

NB500 netbook also comes with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, option for 3G, ethernet, and bluetooth for connectivity. Toshiba NB 500 also offers keyboard with Trackpad (Multi-touch), 3 USB 2.0, vga port, audio jacks, and runs on Windows 7 Starter operating system.

The Toshiba Mini NB500 netbook is targeted at users who appreciate a slim, mobile device with basic computing consumption features at a very competitive price. Toshiba NB500 early release in Asia with colorsblue, brown, lime green, turquoise, and orange and sale in Taipei for premium price tag of 13800NT or (about US$450). In Europe and North America, it is likely to appear next year at CES 2011 (Las Vegas, Nevada, USA).
