Toshiba Germany just announce a new netbook based on the C-50 Ontario APU (accelerated processing unit) namely Toshiba NB550D netbook. NB550D mini laptop has a metallic finish and comes with green, orange, or brown metallic colors option. Toshiba NB550D will be ship in spring 2011 and might well be poised to show the NB550D netbook off out at CES in January 2011 next week.

Toshiba NB550D is powered by 1GHz AMD C50 (Ontario) boasting two Bobcat x86 cores processor, 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with high 1280×768 resolution, Radeon 6250 DirectX 11 graphics that support for DirectX 11, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive 5400RPM unit, a VGA webcam and running on Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

NB550D 10.1-inch netbook also boasts three USB 2.0 ports, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 1 USB Sleep-and-Charge port, Fast Ethernet LAN, an HDMI output and has measures 261.9mm x 189.5mm x 17mm (front) / 35.5mm (back) with weight 1.32kg. Toshiba NB550D also has features Toshiba Sleep and Charge technology to keep powered devices charged, built in two Harman Kardon speakers for those who place a premium on audio quality even on a netbook and powered with 6-cell battery providing up to 9.5 hours of run time.
