Zotac has launched their latest Atom based Nettops named Zotac ZBOX HD-ND22, HD-NS21 mini-PCs, ION-ITX N series and ION-ITX P series mini-ITX platforms. This nettop do seem like a good contender to those like Shuttle, and Asus Eeebox.
Zotac nettop are now shipping with optional dual core Intel CULV processors making for a power-sipping experience that can actually push a couple of pixels (a couple, not many more). the ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ND22 and Zotac ION-ITX P series Powered Intel Celeron SU2300 processo with dual-cores clocked at 1.3 GHz and ZBOX HD-NS21 and Zotac ION-ITX N series powered with Intel Celeron 743 processor.
The Zotac HD NS21 and Zotac ND22 also comes with DDR3 RAM slots, a 2.5-inch hard drive slot, HDMI and DVI-I ports, SATA 3.0 Gb/s HDD or SSD, integrated 802.11n WiFi and four different placement positions – flat, on a stand, on the back of a monitor or on a wall with the included VESA75/100-compatible mount. There is also external expansion options include plenty of USB 2.0 ports, a 6-in-1 memory card reader that supports SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and xD memory card formats, and an eSATA 3.0 Gb/s port for plug ‘n play expansion.
The ITX series also comes with a single PCI Express x16 slot, a handful of SATA / eSATA hookups, HDMI, DVI-D, VGA connections, up to 10 USB 2.0 ports, Onboard 802.11n WiFi and Gigabit Ethernet port enables lightning-fast network transfers for stutter-free high-definition video streaming.
All of the device comes with NVIDIA ION graphics with outstanding 3D capabilities and support for DirectCompute, Microsoft DirectX 10, NVIDIA CUDA -enabled applications for energy-efficient GPU computing, and a slew of USB ports. NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology delivers flawless GPU-accelerated high-definition video playback with breathtaking clarity and details.
The price hasn’t been announced yet, but it looks like as though the entry level models will retail for around $270.
