Asus has announced a new Eee Slate tablet at CSS 2011 namely Eee Slate EP121. Asus Eee Slate EP121 tablet is designed with a wide 178° viewing angle for users who require a highly portable handheld device making it perfectly suited for both productivity applications and multimedia entertainment for users who require a highly portable handheld device.

Asus Slate EP121 tablet is powered by a 1.33 GHz Core i5-470UM processor, a 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 resolution that offers fast responds and easy to fingertip control for day-to-day use, 2GB/4GB of DDR3 RAM, 32GB or 64GB of SSD storage (expandable via SDXC), a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, and an on-screen keyboard is also complimented by support for an external Bluetooth keyboard for traditional desktop use.

Asus EP121 windows tablet also equipped with 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports, a mini-HDMI port, flash card reader, stereo speaker and Wacom digitizer capacitive stylus that offers fine precision input and control. Asus Eee Slate EP121 tablet will be running on Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System and ready to compete with the upcoming iPad 2. Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 tablet is expected to sold for $999 to $1099 and will be available for pre order at Amazon on end of January.
