After release GoTab GTi8 tablet few weeks ago, the Ergo Electronics company at Gardners Books Tradeshow also announced another inexpensive tablet, the GoTab GBT6. Comes with Hive™ Reader technology from Gardners Books, the device also can used as ebook reader with supports Adobe DRM Reader ePub and PDF eBooks files, plus full access to download the hundred of nice e-books from Hive UK’s site.
Like other Ergo tablet, the GBT6 also comes with portable and thin design. Weighing only at 230 grams (with 2,000mAH Polymer battery) and measures 160mm x 95mm x 11mm, the slate fell comfortable in your palm of hand and also can slip perfectly in small bag, in case you want to bring it when you on the go. The 6-inch Widescreen capacitive touchscreen LED-backlit (800 x 480 resolution) display deliver sharp, crisp and good color reproduction for text, images and video. The display also support 5 point in touch, automatic screen rotation (G-sensor), 16:9 Aspect Ratio and capacitive Stylus input supports.
Speaking of hardware configurations, GoTab GBT6 will powered by a 1GHz single core processor, Mali 400 as graphics accelerator, 512MB RAM DDR3 of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that backed by MicroSD card slot for expanded memory up to 32GB. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the Hive™ Reader tablet is Google Certifited device, so users also can download more than 600.000 apps, games, videos, books, musics and more in Android Play Market, as well as other Google Mobile Service, such as as Gmail, Google Maps™, YouTube, GTalk, Google Search™ and more.
Other specs are a 3.5mm Audio jack, micro-USB port, internal speakers, VGA front facing camera for video communication and 802.11 b/g/n LAN for fast internet connection. Reportedly, the Lithium Polymer Battery offers up to 80 hours of standby time, up to 20 hours of music playback or up to 4 Hours of battery life when you used it for web browsing. According the press release, Ergo GoTab GBT6 tablet will be hit the UK market in next month with price tag around at £59 ($95) with 1 year warranty.
