PocketBook USA company has announced the availability of two devices one is an Android powered tablet while the other is a Linux based e-Reader, namely PocketBook IQ 701 tablet and PocketBook 602 E-Ink ebook reader. The main difference is the IQ 701 tablet comes with a color TFT touchscreen while the 602 e-Reader features a e-Ink panel that can display 16 shades of gray.
The IQ 701 Android tablet is powered by 533MHz processor, 7-inch touchscreen color display with 800 x 600 resolution, 256MB RAM, a 2GB of internal storage, a micro SDHC card slot, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, USB port, Headphone jack, and Google Android 2.0 operating system.
The PocketBook IQ 701 also comes with built-in 0.5 W of 2 stereo speakers, G-sensor/Accelerator, Li-Polymer 7,4 v 1600 mAh battery and dimensions are 263 х 190,3 х 11 mm with weight 520g. The PocketBook IQ 701 android tablet is now available in U.S. market and will be sold at cost $150.
The 602 ebook reader is boasts 533MHz processor, 256MB RAM, Bluetooth, a 2GB of internal storage, a micro SDHC card slot and has an estimated battery life of about 14,000 page flips thanks to a 1530 mAh power pack. The PocketBook 602 e-reader also support all the formats that are present for the eBooks in the recent times which include PDF, ePUB, FB2, HTML, TXT, PRC, MOBI, RTF, DOC, JPG, and MP3 file formats.
PocketBook 602 e-reader is available in two versions, PocketBook 602 ebook reader with microUSB cable will be sold at price $179.99 and 602 E-Ink ebook reader Comfort model with microUSB cable, wall charger and 2GB microSD card will be sold at price $199.99.
