Toshiba Excite X10 The Thinnest And Lightest Android Tablet

At CES 2012 last month, Toshiba has unveiled their great Android tablet, called as Excite X10 and now the device has appears on the Canada shoping shop for pre order. Basically, Toshiba Excite X10 tablet is US versions of the Excite tablet or the AT200 and the company claims if the device to be the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet on the market today.

As the thinnest and lightest, Toshiba Excite X10 has dimensions in 0.08 x 17.60 x 25.60 cm with weighs 535 g. Designed from magnesium alloy for casing with a 10.1-inch AutoBrite™ Multi-touch LED Glossy Display which offer maximum resolutions at 1280 x 800 pixel and protected by Scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass plus backed by 3 cell Li-Ion battery which offer up to 8 Hours of battery usage on single charge, it ideal for companions at home or office. It thinner than iPad 2 which has 8.8mm thick or Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 that has 8.9 mm thick.

Under the hood, the Excite X10 tablet powered by a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual-core Cortex-A9 processor that coupled with 1GB of DDR2 RAM and running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb as the operating system provide stable device for work and play on-the-go. On the screen, you will find 5.0 MP rear facing auto focus camera with Flash for capture photos and 2592 x 1944 @ 15 fps video record, while on front there is 2.0 MP camera with microphone for video chatswith your friends or family.

For multimedia storage, new 10.1 inch tablet packed with 16GB and 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD plus built in with stereo speakers on the inside, so you an enjoy great experience when playing Flash games,web browsing or streaming video on YouTube. For software, it preloaded with Toshiba Media Player, Toshiba Service Station, Toshiba File Manager, Think Free Office, Evernote, Printer Share and full support in Google Mobile Service, such as GMail, GTalk, Google Maps, Google eBooks, Picassa and Android Market to download more than 400.000 apps.

Other features are Gyroscope, GPS, e-Compass, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, USB 2.0 Ports, HDMI slot to connect with external monitor, bluetooth 2.1 and Docking Connector. Unfotunately, the Excite X10 tablet only offer 802.11b/g/n WLAN, so users can only connect internet in HotSpot area coverage. So, what you think about the device?
