Toshiba, the Japanese based company has release the Toshiba Excite X10 Tablet in US market few weeks ago and now the company is prepare to release their latest Android tablet in Europe market, called as Toshiba LT170 tablet. Comes with slim. sleek and light design like other Toshiba tablet, the LT170 tablet is expected will be ready for order in Italy at the end of March, 2012 with starting price at €299 or around $400.

Toshiba LT170 Tablet Specs

Physically, Toshiba LT170 is similars with Toshiba Thrive 7. Featuring small size, slim, light and sleek design, the LT710 tablet measuring 200.25 x 128.5 x 11.5 mm with weight at 388g, so you can carry around with you and easily handle with one hand It’s slimmer and lighter than Thrive which has dimensions in 189 x 128.1 x 11.9 mm weighs at 400 grams and the company also claimed if the device is the lightest tablet on it’s class.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by Freescale i.MX53 ARM Cortex processor which has clocking speed at 1GHZ, paired with 512MB DDR3 RAM and packed with 8GB of Flash memory with support microSD card slot for expandable storage capacity up to 32GB. New Toshiba 7 inch tablet sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen TruBrite display with multi touch support and offer maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels provides clear, bright and good color for image and videos. To enhanced viewing experience, it also support accelerometer and ambient light sensor that automatically adjust brightnes on the screen depending on light conditions.

On the front, you’ll find 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera with integrated microphone for video callings with your colleagues, while on the back the 2 mega pixel rear auto focus camera with Flash for captore photos and video recording plus a Lithium Ion battery that capable to gives the device up to seven hours of battery life on single charge. For connectivity and port, there are micro USB 2.0 port, audio jack port, bluetooth 2.1 to transfer your music or photos file to other device and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n for wireless internet connections.

Running on Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the operating system (no word on updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich), the LT170 Android tablet also preloaded support Google Mobile Service, such as GMail, YouTube, Picassa and download more than 400.000 useful applications, widget or games in Android Market plus preloaded direct access to Toshiba Places to download more useful applications, musics, video on demand and much more. Unfortunatelly, no word on availability in Nort America Market.
