Panasonic just launched the next generations of fully lightweight rugged tablet PC Toughbook CF-H1, called Toughbook CF-H2. Specificaly designed for field workers, Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 tablet features IP65 and MIL-STD-810G compliant for extreme temperatures and withstanding multiple free drops to concrete. Panasonic CF-H2 tablet will be release this month in UK market and you can buy the device starting at €2119 MSRP (excluding vat).

As the fully rugged tablet, Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 created from magnesium alloy casing with polycarbonate, a physical keyboard, anti-scratch coating and offer performance 400% better than the older version. The new Panasonic tablet fully protected (for vibration, dust, water ingress), can operate at extreme temperature at -20 to 140 degree Fahrenheit using its unique heat dissipation system and also can handle withstand falls from up to 6 feet. “This next generation Toughbook CF-H2 is the ultimate rugged tablet for the field workforce,” said Stephen Yeo, Panasonic Toughbook European Marketing Director. The company also says that the CF-H2 tablet is perfect for mobile GIS and CAD users and can be used to run powerful diagnostic tools.

The Panasonic CF-H2 tablet offer a better performance and multimedia capabilities with boast an ultra-low voltage (ULV) Intel Core i5-2557M with support with support vPro technology, an integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics card, up to 8GB of RAM, a 2.0 auto focos megapixel camera with one high brightness LED light, sporting a 10.1-inch LED backlight display with 1024 x 768 pixels of resolution and running on Microsoft Windows 7 OS. The 10.1 inch display screen also support with Panasonic Transflective Plus technology for operate with no backlight in bright environments for reduce power consumption and enhance battery life.

In term of connectivity, the CF-H2 tablet offer 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth 2.1 and optional Gobi mobile broadband (Sprint, Verizon, AT&T). Other specifications of the Toughbook CF-H2 includes up to 320GB (7200rpm) hard drive or optional 128GB SSD, USB port and two hot swappable batteries for up to 6.5 hours of battery life. Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 rugged tablet also support Barcode Reader, H1 docking station, a contactless smartcard/RFID reader and a fingerprint reader for secure your important data.
