Samsung has announced a gamut of devices in Singapore at the Communic Asia tradeshow, the Samsung Wave 2 (S5250) and Samsung S5330 Wave 2 Pro. The Wave series includes Samsung’s propriety Bada OS, and its first used in Samsung Wave S8500. Samsung Wave 2 and the Wave 2 Pro are handsets designed to service the cheaper end of the scale while still using the brand’s new Bada OS – the first of which is the feature-packed Samsung Wave.

Both Samsung Wave series include Samsung’s Social Hub, which integrates contact details, social networks, and email services in a single space. Moreover, the two phones come with business features, proving to be a great option for users of all types.

The Wave 2 Pro is pretty much exactly the same phone with a QWERTY keyboard Sellotaped when Samsung Wave 2 comes with a touch-only device. Samsung Wave S5250 and the Samsung Wave S5330 come with Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as with support for Google Latitude and geo-tagging. Both of The this Wave 2 phone comes with 3.2 inch wide touch screen with 240 x 400 pixels resolution, 3MP camera, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 80MB internal memory expandable up to 16GB using slot, 1200 mAh battery, EDGE, A-GPS, and latest TouchWiz 3.0 user interface.

“The Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro are testament to Samsung’s continuing commitment to deliver a smartphone for every lifestyle,” said JK Shin, president and head of the Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics. “I expect significant growth of bada smartphones volume thanks to the launch of mass market targeting Samsung Wave 2 and samsung Wave 2 Pro. We will continue to invest in our open bada platform and offer a wide range of choices and experiences for consumers.”

The New Samsung Wave 2 and Samsung Wave 2 pro should arrive in a nice range of colors, including metallic black, pearl white and romantic pink. Samsung Wave 2 (S5250) and Samsung S5330 Wave 2 Pro will be available in Southeast Asia and Russia starting August. Samsung hasn’t announced the price of this device but should be cheaper than the Wave for sure.
